My sermon last Sunday continued my series in the “I Am” statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John. I am posting the manuscript below as well as the video of the sermon as I revised and preached on Monday specifically for pastors.
Jesus’ promise is our hope: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12). The closer we are to Jesus, the more we experience and reflect his light.
Erasmus was right: “Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself.”
